Earthquake in El Salvador (2001)
In 2001, El Salvador had two big earthquakes one month after the other; the first one on Saturday January 13th and the second one on Tuesday February 13th. Both seriously affected several departments in the country, it brought destruction & loss of human lives. The landslide that killed hundreds of Salvadoran in the neighborhood "Las Colinas". This happened with the first of the earthquakes. It is believed that the total of deceased is 1,259. Economically speaking, El Salvador lost $1,603.8 million dollars.
